Company Profile

Cocomangas Shooter Bar was established in 1987 on Boracay Island , Philippines. Many refer to Cocomangas as an institution on the island because the bar has been around for so many years (24 years and counting) catering to millions of tourists and locals over the years. Cocomangas gets its name: coco from the coconut (as millions of coconut tress are  on Boracay) and the mangas is the Tagalog word for mangoes, so it's Cocomangas.

Cocomangas started out in 1987 as a small friendly bar and restaurant playing rock and roll music with billiard tables and backgammon tables. It was just a warm up bar where people of all nationalities gathered to meet and drink original cocktails like the Cocomangas Jam Jar during happy hour ,which runs every night from 7:30 - 9:30pm. During happy hour, all cocktail jars, local spirits, and local beers are 2 for 1.

On December 24, 1990, the infamous "Still Standing after 15..." drinking challenge was invented. When you drink the 15 shots of assorted booze and you're still standing, you'll receive a free t-shirt, a number for your country which is tallied on the bars score board, and your name engraved on the bar's wall of fame. Over the years the bar expanded, getting a larger floor area, and in the early 2000's, cushion tables replaced the common chairs and the music changed from rock and roll to hip hop/house. The billiard tables were replaced by a DJ booth and a dancing stage, and the rest is history.

Sometime in early 2002 shakers were invented. Each Cocomangas shaker contains five shots of assorted booze. Over the years we expanded the shaker menu and now there are 20 different shaker flavors and colors. Cocomangas is also famous for tasty pizza. Our goal in establishing the business was to create a friendly atmosphere, where all walks of life from all corners of the world, could meet, drink, eat, dance, and become friends. Our goal was to give the best possible service and unique experience to our customers.
